This is my first tattoo. I absolutely love it. Peter Pan was and still is a childhood hero of mine. He captures the innocence of childhood and everything I adore. I got this done at The Hornet’s Nest in Louisville, Kentucky. I highly recommend them!

This is my first tattoo. Its on my right forearm. I designed it and drew it myself. The compass represents travel, discovery, and adventure - all very important to me. The symbols inside are : sun - for life, thriving, and happiness, eye - the window to the soul, ankh - egyptian symbol for life and sanctuary, and infinity. My compass is something I can look to for direction. And each symbol is something that will be meaningful to me for the rest of my life.

This past year, my depression was at an all time low. I was submersed in hopelessness. I got the compass for whenever I feel that low or hopeless, I can always find my way back. Above north, it reads “believe in your dreams”. This refers to both my life goals, and my actual dreams since I have found several of them becoming glimpses of a future reality.
